Pleasure Finds - a new gateway for pleasure-seekers

Welcome and a very Happy New Year 2011 to you!

I am quite delighted to invite you to this new blog about us, pleasure-seekers.  I know..many of us are shy to admit that we indulge in our pleasures now and then, or quite often.  I don't see why we have to continue hiding about this positive aspect of our lives - the very reason we are here on this planet: to enjoy its beauty, as well as the creative ideas and designs made for our pleasure.

Let me start this blog by sharing some of my latest finds in the world of gastronomy, wine and spirits, travel & spa, books, art, music and the latest in electronics.

The recent winter blast in Western Europe created a rush for ski destinations in the Alps during the holiday season, making it one of the busiest in years despite the slow economic recovery.  Europe is also leading the way in new gastronomic delights following the huge success of Il Bulli and other innovative chefs in Spain.

This week also started with the biggest electronics show in Las Vegas, showcasing the latest in 3-D technology, impressive LED displays and endless choices for the Computer Gamers.  Samsung, the leading brand in HD TV in North America, is featuring their ultra slim HDTVs and the world's thinnest 3D Blu-ray at this show, and has created alliances with Microsoft and DreamWorks Animations on two big projects.

Spa Travel continues to be popular, with more exotic locations offering luxury treatments.  Yacht-like cruising - with personalized service and like-minded clients, has also become the choice among those who do not enjoy the massive crowds in over-sized cruise liners.

So here we are in the new year - let's resolve to forever embrace pleasure and not feel guilty about it!
